How to Connect to your AP Radio

When setting up your network, you will need to connect to your AP radio. This may be done wirelessly be connecting to the device’s management wi-fi or with a wired connection to your computer.

How to establish a Wi-Fi connection to your AP

Note: these instructions are generic and you may need to refer to the instructions that came with your specific model of AP to connect to the Wi-Fi.

  1. Connect to your device’s Wi-Fi. In your network list, look for a connection that starts with “LBE:” or “LAP:” followed by digits.
  2. In a web browser, navigate to https://setup.ui.com/ (If this link does not work and you are connected to the AP’s Wi-Fi, consult the instructions that came with your gateway AP radio.)

How to establish a wired connection to your AP with a Windows 10 PC

  1. Unplug your ethernet cable connecting your AP from the gateway router. Connect it instead to a LAN port on your computer.
  2. Pull up “Settings” on your computer and select “”Network & Internet”. From the menu on the left, select “Ethernet”, then click on the “Change adapter options”.
  3. A new window should pop up, with your ethernet connection listed. Double click on it. A new window will pop up. From the options listed at the bottom, select “Properties”.
  4. Next double click on the “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” among the list of options.
  5. Configure your settings to match the following:

  6. Apply settings
  7. In a web browser, navigate to “192.168.1.30”.

How to establish a wired connection to your AP with a MacOS PC

  1. Unplug the ethernet cable connecting your AP from the gateway router. Connect it instead to a LAN port on your computer.
  2. Pull up “System Preferences” and navigate to “Network”. Your ethernet connection should be listed on the left. Select it.
  3. Configure your settings to match the following:

  5. In a web browser, navigate to “192.168.1.30”.
